Artist residency in Venezia
E' un programma di residenza per artisti nel centro storico di Venezia, molto vicino alla sede della Biennale. E’ aperto ad artisti di ogni provenienza che intendono produrre il proprio lavoro a Venezia, interagendo con il contesto sociale e artistico della città e lavorando ad uno specifico progetto in un grande laboratorio multifunzionale condiviso con altri artisti.La residenza si conclude con una mostra o un evento specifico nella galleria di Spiazzi. Gli artisti sono invitati a sperimentare senza restrizione di genere e di espressione, incoraggiando la ricerca e condividendo le esperienze. Spiazzi è particolarmente interessato alle relazioni che l’artista istituisce con la città. Ospitando periodicamente artisti stranieri Spiazzi attiva un naturale e reciproco percorso di arricchimento che deriva dal confronto con altre culture ed altre esperienze.

Spiazzi fornisce lettere di presentazione per richieste di borse nei paesi di provenienza.

L’artista ha l’uso libero degli spazi a lui assegnati per la creazione di lavori ed eventi artistici. I partecipanti possono frequentare i corsi proposti a Spiazzi.La durata della residenza può variare da uno a sei mesi. Gli artisti devono provvedere autonomamente alle spese di viaggio e soggiorno a Venezia. Gli artisti sono incoraggiati a comunicare l’evoluzione del proprio lavoro e comunque a mostrarlo a fine percorso alla comunità sociale e artistica della città, attraverso una mostra o un evento, affinché lo scambio di esperienze e di risultati sia più completo possibile.
Spiazzi garantisce la disponibilità dello spazio espositivo, dei laboratori, della pubblicità dell’evento sul sito web e attraverso il proprio ufficio stampa e la stampa di locandine. Su richiesta fornisce anche supporto per allestimento, guardiania, trasporti. Spiazzi inserisce l’artista nella propria ampia rete di contatti. I lavori prodotti rimangono di proprietà intellettuale degli artisti, che sono tenuti a portare con se al termine del periodo di residenza. Personalmente provvederanno alla spedizione e al trasporto. Spiazzi archivierà e pubblicherà nella propria galleria virtuale del sito web le testimonianze foto e video delle fasi di lavorazione e dei lavori finitiSpiazzi non è un’istituzione pubblica e per questo le residenze vengono finanziate attraverso il personale contributo dell’artista o attraverso borse di studio.

I laboratori e la loro strumentazione permettono di sperimentare aspetti tecnici ed artistici. E’ opinione condivisa che lavorare in un ambiente collettivo incrementi e incoraggi la sperimentazione e il confronto. Spiazzi non è un’accademia e non vi sono gerarchie. Ciascuno è responsabile del proprio comportamento nei confronti degli altri, dei luoghi e della strumentazione utilizzata.
Se i partecipanti richiedono ulteriori materiali non presenti nella lista dovranno provvedere autonomamente.

Il costo mensile della residenza a Spiazzi è di 200 Euro. Inoltre verranno richiesti 300 € per la mostra finale.

Spiazzi è un’associazione nata nel 2003, che fa della condivisione di spazi, esperienza e sensibilità il proprio obiettivo. Riunisce persone con diversa età ed esperienza nel campo dell’arte, della comunicazione e dell’artigianato. Spiazzi è un atelier collettivo e produce mostre ed eventi culturali, corsi e stages nelle varie discipline artistiche.

>>>Accommodation programArtists have free access to places assigned for their work. Participants can also attend Spiazzi’s classes.The length of accommodation can vary between one and six months. Artists must provide for themselves about travelling and stay in Venice expenses.Artists are encouraged to communicate about their work development and to show it to artistic and social Venetian community at the end of period. Events and exhibitions are provided to improve experience exchange as much as possible.Spazzi guarantees available exhibition room, workshops and advertising (web, press and posters) for the event. On request, Spiazzi supplies help in preparation, transport and security service. Artists are included in a vast contact list.Operas produced here remained artists’ property, whom have to collect them at the end of period (self-providing for sending and transport). Open to everywhere artists who decide to spend their time and work in Venice, interacting with social and artistic Venetian contest and producing a specific project in a large multifunctional workshop with other artists.Hospitality ends with an exhibition or a special event in Spiazzi gallery. Artists are invited to experience without restrictions, encouraging artistic research and sharing ideas. Spiazzi is particularly interested in relationship between the artist and the city. Hosting periodically foreigner artists, Spiazzi starts a natural and mutual path of enrichment which comes from cultural and experience comparison.

>>>Accommodation programArtists have free access to places assigned for their work. Participants can also attend Spiazzi’s classes.The length of accommodation can vary between one and six months. Artists must provide for themselves about travelling and stay in Venice expenses.Artists are encouraged to communicate about their work development and to show it to artistic and social Venetian community at the end of period. Events and exhibitions are provided to improve experience exchange as much as possible.Spazzi guarantees available exhibition room, workshops and advertising (web, press and posters) for the event. On request, Spiazzi supplies help in preparation, transport and security service. Artists are included in a vast contact list.Operas produced here remained artists’ property, whom have to collect them at the end of period (self-providing for sending and transport). Spiazzi will archive and publish on its web-site gallery all pictures and videos about stages of production and final opera.Spiazzi is not a public institution, so accommodations are financed by artist’s personal contribution or by grants and scholarships.
>>>Spiazzi’s equipmentWorkshops and equipment let practice about artistic and technical aspects. It’s common opinion that working in partnership increase experimentation and comparison. Spiazzi is not an Academy and is free of hierarchy. Every member is responsible for his own behaviour with other members, guests, places and equipment used.If participants need other materials non listed, may provide by themselves.

Spiazzi in residenceSpiazzi in residence est un programme de résidence pour artiste dans le centre historique de Venise, tout proche de la Biennale. Il est accessible aux artistes de toute provenance qui entendent produire leur travail à Venise, en interagissant avec le contexte socio-artistique de la ville et en travaillant à un projet spécifique dans un grand atelier polyfonctionnel partagé avec d'autres artistes.La résidence se conclue avec une exposition ou un événement spécifique dans la galerie de Spiazzi. Les artistes sont invités à expérimenter sans restriction de genre ou d'expression, en encourageant la recherche et en partageant les expériences. Spiazzi est particulièrement intéressé aux relations que l'artiste peut avoir avec la ville. Accueillant régulièrement des artistes étrangers, Spiazzi active un parcours naturel et réciproque d'enrichissement qui dérive de la confrontation avec d'autres cultures et d'autres expériences.

Les artistes sont encouragés à communiquer l'évolution de leur travail et à le présenter à la communauté socio-artistique de la ville à travers une exposition ou un événement, de manière à ce que l'échange d'expérience et de résultats soit le plus complet possible. Spiazzi garantit la disponibilité de l'espace d'exposition, des ateliers, et de la publicité de l'évènement sur son site internet et par son agence de presse et l'impression des affiches. Sur demande il fournit aussi une aide pour l'aménagement, le gardiennage et le transport. Spiazzi insère l'artiste dans son propre et vaste tissu relationnel. Les travaux produits restent la propriété intellectuelle des artistes, qui sont tenus de les reprendre à la fin de leur période de résidence. Les artistes pourvoiront personnellement à leur transport et à leur expédition. Spiazzi archivera et publiera dans sa propre galerie virtuelle sur son site internet les témoignages photos et vidéos des phases d'élaboration, et des travaux finis.
